France welcomes Iran refugee film

Mostafa Gandomkar’s ‘Alan’ on Syrian and Iraqi refugees represents Iran at prestigious Clermont-Ferrand Int’l Short Film Festival in France.

‘Alan’ will vie at the French festival alongside shorts from countries such as China, Norway, Finland, and the UK in the international competition section of the event.  

The film will make international debut at the festival that runs February 3-11, 2017.

“Many Kurdish people have lost their homes and families in ISIS attacks. This is the story of one of them,” the festival catalogue describes ‘Alan’.

The Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival is a major film festival for short films in the world which is annually held in Clermont-Ferrand, France. The evnt is one of the largest film festivals in France in terms of audience and professional attendance.
